Privacy

Scoria is published by Alconis Conseil, a French company focused on responsible digital design. Our rule is simple: collect as little as possible, store as little as possible, and keep game data in the hands of the people playing.

Scoria app

The app is offline-first: games, scores, history, favorites and preferences are stored locally on the device. The only exception to the nominal local behavior is Premium, which relies on a minimal activation service described below.

The app contains no analytics, no commercial tracking and no advertising. Alconis Conseil does not receive the score data entered in a local game.

Data can be deleted from the device through the actions provided in the app, or by uninstalling / resetting local app data.

Scorecast

Scorecast is a separate, voluntary Premium feature: the phone keeping score creates a code, then another screen can display the leaderboard on viewer.scoria.gg. It requires a connection and is not part of the app’s nominal local behavior.

When Scorecast is active, the app sends our relay only the snapshot needed to display the public score: game name, technical game identifier, scores/standings, game status, optional counter, display colors and the names entered when they are needed to show people or team compositions. The relay does not receive board photos, license data, payment information or local secrets.

The server keeps only the latest useful snapshot for the active code and minimal technical code history (status, activity, recent viewer count) for operations and support. Viewer screens are read-only: they cannot modify the source game.

Marketing website

The scoria.gg website uses Matomo analytics configured with its built-in EU GDPR compliance mode, without cookies, for sober traffic statistics: understanding which pages are viewed, improving the site and avoiding intrusive advertising tools.

This traffic measurement is not intended to identify people, track browsing for commercial purposes or resell data.

Premium payment and activation

Premium payment is handled by our provider Stripe on a secure checkout page. Payment data, including card details, is processed by Stripe and is neither collected nor stored by Scoria.

To deliver and maintain Premium access, our activation service stores the minimum required data: the purchase email address, the license key, technical device identifiers for activation (not linked to your identity) and transaction data (payment reference, amount) needed for billing and legal obligations. For a trial redeemed with a partner code, activation does not ask for a customer email address: the service stores the code used, the technical device identifier and the trial expiration date in order to deliver access, prevent abusive resets and measure conversions in aggregate by partner.

This data is limited to Premium entitlement management and is not used for any other purpose.
